There is nothing quite as fulfilling as tucking into a hot, hearty dish of slow cooked meat, starchy carbohydrates and melt in your mouth vegetables. Slow cooking gives you all of this, and is the perfect type of cooking for the long, cold winter months.
Slow cooking is also very easy, I only got a slow cooker at the beginning of this winter (June for us New Zealanders) and my boyfriend and I are already able to fashion our own recipes. We have learnt to slow cook through the Australian Womens Weekly Slow Cooker Magazine. I would suggest having a look into buying this as the recipes are delicious, inexpensive and easy to prepare.
