Traditionally a flatbread is a bread that includes salt, water and flour, and can or cannot include yeast. Once the dough has been made flatbreads are then rolled out before cooking. Flatbreads originated in Egypt, however since then there are now many varieties of flatbreads that are available to purchase or bake. Flatbreads include naans, pitas and tortillas.
